The Deputy Principle/ Director of Education introduced this scheme in March 2009 to recognise and acknowledge the excellent teaching and commitment to teaching shown by our colleagues at Imperial College London’s associated Trusts. This is done via a letter of recognition and produced on a bi-annual basis for each person nominated as a Local Teaching Hero by their Trust. A letter of recognition is provided for colleagues at a non-consultant level and can also be provided for associated healthcare professionals, for example: nurses, midwives, physiotherapists etc. who have been nominated as a Local Teaching Hero. The nominee must have demonstrated a continuous high quality commitment to teaching Imperial undergraduate students. Please contact the TCO at your site to nominate someone from this Trust.
