Welcome to the medical training section of the West Middlesex University Hospital website.

 

West Middlesex has long standing links with Imperial College Medical School, Charing Cross and Hammersmith hospitals and provides medical training in a broad range of specialties.

 

Our Education Centre is situated in a separate building close to the main hospital block and contains lecture rooms, a skills lab, a dining area and the medical library.

Details of specialty training rotations at West Middlesex

 

Foundation House Officer Year 1

1 year posts, rotating through three specialties.  These include General Medicine (Endocrinology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory and MAU), Care of the Elderly, Anaesthetics and General Surgery (Colorectal, Breast and Vascular). 

 

Foundation House Officer Year 2

1 year posts rotating through three of the following specialties:  A/E, G.P. Practice, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, ENT, Psychiatry, MAU and General Medicine.

 

ST1, ST2 and ST3 posts

Posts for either 1 or 2 years in the following specialties:

General Surgery

Trauma and Orthopaedics

Accident and Emergency

ENT

Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Paediatrics

Anaesthetics
