Sexual Health West Middlesex Hospital

West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth is home to our main centre for sexual health and HIV, providing full sexual health care. The clinic is located in a seperate building next to the main hospital building and has recently undergone extensive refurbishment. The clinic has held the coveted Charter Mark award for ten years and has achieved You're Welcome status, awarded to health services that are young person friendly. The clinic provides the following services

Sexual Health

• 'Quick Test' routine STI check ups

• Screening and treatment of all sexually acquired infections

• Management of other genital problems and infections

• HIV testing

• Rapid 20 minutes HIV testing for patients at high risk of infection

• Hepatitis B screening and vaccination

• Counselling and sexual health advice

• Infection screening and support following rape or sexual assault

• Free condoms and lubriant

• C-card for under 25 year olds

HIV Services

• Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEPSE) following exposure to HIV

• HIV medical care and support services

• Counselling for people living with HIV

Contraception / Family Planning

• Emergency Contraception

• Routine Contraception including the pill and injection (by appointment or walk in Fridays only)

• Assessment for Implant, IUD and IUS (by appointment or walk in Fridays only)

• Fitting of Implant, IUD and IUS (by appointment only)

• Pregnancy Testing

• Referral for termination of pregnancy

Specialist Services

• KISS Young People's clinic (Mondays 3.00pm - 5.00pm - no appointment needed)

• Rose Clinic for for people with learning difficulties or disabilities (Please telephone in advance and ask for a Health Adviser)

• Sex Workers' clinic (Please telephone in advance and ask for a Health Adviser)

• Older Clients' clinic for clients over 50 years of age (Please telephone and ask for a Health Adviser)

Opening Times

• Our walk in services operate on a first come first served basis.

• All new patients and patients with symptoms must attend at least 30 minutes before the end of a clinic session in order to be seen.

• When demand is much higher than anticipated clinics may close before the advertised time. 

• Depending on the reason for your visit, you may be in the clinic for up to 2 hours, please allow sufficient time when planning your visit.  

Walk in opening times are now the same for men and women:

*Our clinic is closed on the first Thursday of the month for staff training - no appointments will be available.   

How to Get There

The clinic is a ten minute walk from Syon Lane or Isleworth Train Stations (Waterloo to Reading Line). The 117, 267, 481, H28 and H37 all stop within the hospital grounds or within a five minute walk of the Sexual Health Clinic. Alight at West Middlesex Hospital.

There is a car park which is pay on exit.
