Rheumatology

We offer a general rheumatology service led by two consultants and a consultant nurse, with specialist clinics in: 

 

  • Early arthritis

  • Connective Tissue Disorders

  • Paediatric Rheumatology

  • Osteoporosis

  • Biologic Treatments

 

Other services include:

 

  • Direct access joint and soft-tissue injection clinic

  • Nurse-led drug monitoring service

  • Patient telephone advice-line

  • Urgent access appointments available

 

We have close links with Orthopaedics, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Surgical Appliances and other departments.

 

  • General Rheumatology Clinic: Monday pm

  • Inflammatory Arthritis Clinics: Tuesday and Friday am

  • Drug monitoring Clinics: Tuesday and Friday am

  • Patient education and counselling clinic: Thursday am

  • Biologics Clinic: Monday am

  • Early Arthritis Clinic: Thursday am

  • Injection Clinic: Thursday am

  • Connective Tissue Disorders Clinic: Wednesday pm

  • Paediatric Rheumatology Clinic: Tuesday am (monthly)

  • Osteoporosis Clinic: Tuesday pm (monthly)
