There is a fast track referral process from radiology for all suspected cancers. Patients are reviewed by the consultant and a CT is requested. The CT is then reviewed by the Multi Disciplinary Team before deciding what the most appropriate method for testing is (e.g. Bronchoscopy, CT guided biopsy, surgical biopsy) all new diagnoses are offered Macmillan Nurse support, and are followed up by the oncologist at the lung oncology clinic at West Middlesex after treatment.
