Breast Unit

We run a one stop clinic for patients with suspected breast cancer:

GPs can refer to the Breast Clinic, and the patient is assessed by a Consultant at their first appointment. Following this the patient is either reassured and discharged, or sent for imaging. The imaging is then assessed: if normal, the patient is discharged; if abnormal a FNA or core biopsy is performed. The patient will then come back 7 - 10 days later for their results.
