The ITU staff is acutely aware of the stress suffered by relatives. We appreciate how bewildering and sometimes frustrating a situation with a highly uncertain outcome can be. If you have any questions about the care of your friend or relative, please ask one of the ITU team. There is written information available in the ITU waiting area and a number of support websites listed below for further information.
The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) can give advice on practical issues, as well as help to clarify any concerns or queries you have about the hospital service. Multi-faith chaplaincy services are also available if you need spiritual support in this difficult period.
