The Stork Appeal Logo

West Middlesex University Hospital's maternity service delivered more than 4,300 babies in 2009/10. to women living in the Hounslow and Twickenham areas.

Our maternity service already has a strong reputation, holding the UNICEF Baby Friendly Stage 2 Certificate for breastfeeding.

We want to take this one step further and make the services truly exceptional.

The NHS budget provides only the basic essentials needed for maternity care, so we have launched the Stork Appeal to help us raise extra funds. Through the appeal we are aiming to raise £100,000.

Donations to the Stork Appeal will allow us to provide the very best care and facilities for our community. We want to be able to give women more choice during their pregnancy and make the experience of birth as private, comfortable and peaceful as possible for happier, healthier mothers and babies.

Your donation could help us provide:

  • Improved relaxation areas

  • Reclining chairs and sofas

  • Birth aids, such as wall bars and birth balls

  • Paintings and CD players for rooms
