When you arrive

Hospital Reception

Arriving at West Mid

  • Please use the self check-in kiosks located adjacent to the main reception desk to enter your details

  • You will then be asked to go to the relevent waiting area for your appointment

  • A nurse will call you for your appointment

  • If you are unsure where your appointment is within the hospital, please go the help desk at the main entrance and ask for directions

  • Please help us by arriving for your appointment on time

Waiting times

  • Allow at least two hours for your appointment

  • We will try to not keep you for more than 30 minutes after your appointment time

  • You might need to have an x-ray or other tests afterwards. We will try to arrange these on the same day. So you might need to wait longer.

  • Please tell the a member of staff if you need to leave and can't wait for your tests. You might be able to have them another day

Delays

  • Sometimes appointments are delayed. This is usually for a good reason. But clinic staff should always tell you why a delay has occurred

  • Arriving early for your appointment does not mean we will see you earlier
