Religious & Spiritual Care

Multi Faith Garden

The Chaplaincy Team offers spiritual and religious support to patients, families and staff at the hospital.

Spirituality is the inner search for our deepest beliefs and values and how we express them.

At times of change, crisis or illness we often question and struggle to find answers.

The chaplains are available to you to listen, to respect your beliefs and to offer support without judgement.

How to contact us

If you are on a ward please ask a member of staff to contact us for you. There is always a chaplain on duty. You can also contact us via the hospital switchboard, on 020 8560 2121, at any time. We try to visit as soon as possible.

We offer spiritual and pastoral support when you are worried about things like:

  • illness, dying and bereavement
  • life changes
  • emotional hurt
  • relationships

We are here to:

  • let you talk
  • listen in confidence
  • pray with you, if you wish

We help to provide for your religious needs.

You can find the Multi Faith Centre just off the atrium in the main building. It is open all day and all evening for everyone. There are Scriptures from a variety of faiths, prayer mats and other religious items available for your use. There are also washing facilities. Please tell us if you need something that you cannot find. We can contact a member of your faith community for you.
