Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)

PALS

We’re here to help you.

 

The aim of PALS is to help improve our services to patients. The service offered is completely confidential.

 

PALS is here to:

  • Advise and support patients, their families and carers

  • Listen to your concerns and queries about your experience in the hospital and to help resolve problems quickly on your behalf

  • Note your comments and suggestions on improving our hospital services and make recommendations accordingly

  • Tell you about the hospital's complaints process and support you in making a formal complaint.

 

We can:

  • Arrange for you to meet the members of staff who are responsible for your care

  • Accompany you to consultations and meetings in order to give support

  • Where appropriate, liaise with other organisations on your behalf

  • Help arrange an interpreter

  • Put you in touch with other support services outside the hospital

  • Visit us* in the atrium of the main hospital, adjacent to the reception desk.

  • Call on 020 8321 6261 (Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm), or leave a message on our voicemail, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

*Please note that visits to wards and departments leave the office closed at times
